Book of Atem

Book of Atem is All41 Studios' take on the Book sub-genre — a category established by Novomatic's Book of Ra and continued by titles like Play'n GO's Book of Dead. The framework is consistent across the genre: an Egyptian-themed five-reel slot, a single special symbol that doubles as wild and scatter, and a free-spins round with one expanding symbol.

Three or more book symbols anywhere on the reels pay a small win and trigger Book of Atem's free spins round. Before the round begins, a single symbol is randomly chosen as the expanding symbol. During the spins, that symbol expands to fill its full reel whenever it appears on at least three reels — paying as if it occupied all three positions on each reel it lands on. Three more scatters during the round retriggers another 10 spins.

Book of Atem is a high-volatility slot. The base game pays modestly; the bulk of the math sits in the free spins round, where a high-tier expanding symbol (Pharaoh, Anubis, or scarab) can produce the 5,000× stake cap.
